Arriving by car

1 · Auto / Mietwagen

The most flexible way to travel in summer is usually by car or hire car. Free parking is available directly at the chalets.

Recommended route from Innsbruck / Germany

  1. 1Take the A12 Inntal motorway to the Zirl-Ost / Seefeld exit.
  2. 2Follow the B177 federal road (Seefelder Straße) towards Seefeld.
  3. 3In Seefeld, continue towards Leutasch.
  4. 4In Leutasch-Weidach, follow the signs and set your satnav to Weidach 374f,6105 Leutasch.

Parking

Free parking spaces are available directly at the chalets – even for several cars per chalet. You can drive right up to your chalet for convenient loading and unloading.

Practical information for travelling in summer

  • In Austria, a vignette is required on motorways and expressways – find out in advance which type you need (e.g. 10-day or digital vignette).
  • The access road to the chalets is paved and easy to drive on in summer – even with larger vehicles.
  • If you are travelling by electric car, there are several public charging stations in the Seefeld / Leutasch region. If necessary, plan your route using a charging route planner.
  • A car gives you particular flexibility for excursions in the Seefeld Olympic region – many starting points for hikes and bike tours are only a few minutes' drive away.

For a relaxed and climate-friendly journey, the Seefeld in Tirol and Innsbruck railway stations are ideal destinations.

Direct train connections from Innsbruck, Munich and Zurich, for example. From Seefeld, you can take a bus or taxi to Leutasch.

Innsbruck railway station

Large railway junction with long-distance connections from all over Europe. From here, you can take a regional train to Seefeld or a bus towards Seefeld/Leutasch.

Bus connections to Leutasch

Regional bus lines (e.g. Regiobus line 431/433) run between Seefeld and Leutasch. One of the closest stops to the chalets is Leutasch Weidach Quellenhof or Weidach Zentrum . From there, you can reach the chalets after a short drive or a short taxi ride.

For guests arriving from abroad, Innsbruck Airport is the most convenient option. Alternatively, Munich and Salzburg are also possible airports.

Innsbruck Airport (INN)

The nearest airport is Innsbruck (approx. 35-40 minutes' drive to the Wilderer Chalets). From there, you can reach Leutasch by hire car, taxi or train & bus via Innsbruck-Seefeld-Leutasch.

Other airports in the area

Alternatively, you can travel via Munich or Salzburg and from there take a hire car or train via Innsbruck to Seefeld and on to Leutasch.

Practical information

Arrival, Check-in & Parking

The chalets are usually ready for occupancy from the afternoon onwards. You can conveniently drive up to the chalet and park nearby – ideal if you are travelling with luggage, children or shopping.

If you are travelling by train and bus, we recommend taking a taxi from Seefeld or Leutasch-Weidach to the chalets for the last leg of your journey. We are happy to assist you in advance with tips on organising your journey.

  • A sat nav or smartphone with Google Maps makes it easier to find your way on the last leg of your journey.
  • If you are travelling in summer, why not plan a stopover – for example in Seefeld or Innsbruck.

Do I definitely need a car on site in summer?

You can enjoy your summer holiday at the Wilderer Chalets without your own car – there are regional bus connections in the Seefeld Olympic region. However, a car or hire car is an advantage for maximum flexibility when it comes to excursions, hikes and swimming spots.

Is there free parking directly at the chalets?

Yes, free parking is available directly at the Wilderer Chalets. Several parking spaces are available per chalet, so you can arrive with up to three vehicles.

How far is it from the chalets to the nearest supermarket?

You will find shopping facilities in the district of Weidach and in Leutasch, which are only a few minutes' drive away. There is also a wider selection of shops and restaurants in Seefeld in Tirol.

Which bus stop is closest for arriving by bus?

One of the closest stops is Leutasch Weidach Quellenhof or Weidach Zentrum. From there, you can reach the Wilderer Chalets after a short taxi ride or – depending on your luggage – a short walk uphill.

Can I bring my bicycle or e-bike?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your bicycle or e-bike. The region around Leutasch and Seefeld offers numerous cycling and mountain bike trails – ideal for tours starting directly from the chalets.
