Getting here by car

Recommended route from Innsbruck / Germany

  • Take the A12 Inn Valley motorway to the Zirl-Ost / Seefeld exit.
  • Follow the B177 main road (Seefelder Straße) towards Seefeld.
  • In Seefeld, continue towards Leutasch.
  • In Leutasch-Weidach, follow the signs and set your sat nav to “Weidach 374f, 6105 Leutasch”.

The easiest way to navigate is with the Google Maps route planner linked above.

Parking

Practical tips for arriving in summer

  • In Austria, a vignette is required on motorways and expressways – check in advance which option suits you (e.g. a 10-day or digital vignette).
  • The access road to the chalets is tarmacked and easy to drive in summer – even with larger vehicles.
  • If you are arriving by electric car, there are several public charging stations in the Seefeld / Leutasch region. If needed, plan your route with a charging route planner.
  • For excursions in the Olympiaregion Seefeld, a car gives you the most flexibility – many starting points for hikes and bike tours are only a few minutes’ drive away.

Important tips for arriving in winter

  • Winter tyres are generally recommended in the Alps during the cold season and are compulsory in Austria in wintry driving conditions.
  • We explicitly recommend snow chains – especially early in the morning and late in the evening, when the roads have not yet been cleared.
  • The main roads are usually well cleared. Even so, allow plenty of time and drive defensively.
  • In extreme snowfall there may be short-term delays – if in doubt, check the current situation before you set off.
