Anyone who steps into the Leutasch Gorge – also known as the Geisterklamm or Ghost Gorge – immediately understands why it has its name. Hell's Water and Ghost Pools, the Witch's Cauldron and Devil's Water: the roar of the rushing water, the damp rocks and the light filtering through the narrow gap create an atmosphere that feels unlike any ordinary walk. Since summer 2023, the gorge has delighted visitors with a newly designed themed trail – stories of the gorge spirit, games for children and fascinating nature facts await on four different routes.
