Life on the Seefeld plateau has become a little quieter. Since 1 July 2026, all five regional bus lines between Seefeld, Leutasch, Reith, Mösern and Telfs run fully electric. 13 new e-buses replace the diesel fleet: quiet, zero exhaust, with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. For you as guests, the best part stays the same: with the guest card you ride for free.
The new e-bus fleet at a glance
- 13 electric buses, operated by Reisebüro Breuss on behalf of Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT)
- 10 × Mercedes eCitaro (12 m): 36 seats and 43 standing places, over 400 km range
- 3 × Wisdom Motor Sigma 7 (7 m): 12 seats and 14 standing places, up to 200 km range
- On board: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, step-free boarding
- Frequency: mostly hourly, first departures between 5:30 and 8:30 am, last between 7:30 and 8:30 pm
- For guests with the guest card: free

These lines now run electric
- 430: Seefeld – Weidach – Oberleutasch
- 431: Telfs – Buchen – Leutasch (as far as the Geisterklamm)
- 432: Seefeld – Reith – Leithen
- 433: Seefeld – Weidach – Oberleutasch
- 434: Seefeld – Mösern – Telfs
What this means for you: from Leutasch-Weidach you can get to Seefeld for a stroll or to the Wildsee lake, to the Geisterklamm gorge, to the Möserer See lake or to the Rosshütte without a car. The car stays parked at the chalet.
Ride the bus for free with the guest card
As overnight guests in the Seefeld region you receive the digital guest card, which makes all buses on the plateau free for you. With us there's no detour: during online check-in you tick the box “Activate digital guest card”, and the card then arrives by email. You'll find exactly how it works on our guest card page.
Quieter, cleaner, noticeably more pleasant
You hear the difference most at the bus stop. At 30 km/h an e-bus is only half as loud as a diesel bus, and when pulling away from a stop it is even two and a half times quieter. Because the buses recover energy when braking, the brakes wear less and far less fine dust is produced. In a high valley like the Leutasch, where people come for the peace and quiet, that makes a real difference.
The buses charge mainly at night, at eight charging points in four locations: at the Rosshütte valley station, in Seefeld at the Münchner Straße roundabout, in Leutasch Weidach Zentrum and in Telfs. The federal government (EBIN funding programme), the State of Tyrol, the municipalities of Seefeld, Reith, Scharnitz, Leutasch and Telfs and the Seefeld tourism board delivered the project together. Tyrol aims to run all public transport emission-free by 2040, and the plateau is one of the first regions to have switched over completely.
